About
About Melrose Residential
Melrose Residential is a home for five adults who live with serious mental illness, in Portland, Oregon. We expect to welcome adults from Portland and nearby communities in the metro area. Our staff know each resident by name, mornings follow a familiar pace, and there is always someone to talk to.
To protect residents' privacy, we do not publish the home's street address on this site.

Our story
A home built around five people
We kept Melrose small on purpose. In a house this size, a staff member notices when someone is quiet at breakfast and has the time to sit down and ask about it. Each resident has a private bedroom, a place at the table, and a say in how the household runs.

Daily life
A warm and predictable routine
Breakfast, medication support, activities, and dinner happen at regular times, so residents know what the day looks like. Within that, each person chooses how to spend their time. Some like to help in the kitchen. Others want a quiet hour with a book or a walk around the block. You can see a typical weekday on A Day at Melrose, and the support we provide is described on Our Program.
How we decide
Care starts with the resident
Every resident has a service plan, and it is written with them. Families are kept informed when the resident agrees. Residents also meet with staff at house meetings to talk about meals, outings, and how things are going in the home.
Our team photo is coming.
We will take it together on opening day, Summer of 2027, and share it here.
Our team
The people who run the home
Melrose Residential is led by its owner and a Facility Administrator, who is named on our licensing application with the Oregon Health Authority. Care workers are on site around the clock, with shift leads guiding each day and second shift. We will introduce everyone here as the team comes together.

Where we are
Licensure status
Melrose Residential is pending licensure as a Residential Treatment Home with the Oregon Health Authority. We are not accepting residents or referrals yet. We plan to open in Summer of 2027, and each step toward licensure is posted on our updates page.
