Who we serve
Who this home is for
Here is who qualifies for a residential treatment home like ours in Oregon, and who may be better served somewhere else. Being clear about fit saves everyone time.
Adults with serious mental illness
Melrose Residential is for adults living with a serious mental illness who need more daily support than they can get living on their own, and who can live well in a small shared home.
There is room for five residents. Our team will be on site around the clock.
General eligibility
Our admission criteria will be set in our admission policy. We will publish them here before we begin accepting referrals.
The steps from first contact to move-in are on our admissions page.
What this home is not equipped for
Some needs are better met in a hospital, a nursing facility, or a program with more medical staff on site. We will list the specific situations this home cannot support once our admission policy is final.
Level of care
A residential treatment home offers more support than living on your own or in supportive housing, in a house in a neighborhood instead of a hospital unit.
If you are comparing options, our family guide explains the types of residential mental health settings in Oregon.
If this is not the right fit
That is useful to know early. A case manager or your county mental health program can help you look at other options.
Our resources page lists crisis lines, statewide organizations, and county contacts.
